About the position

Indorama Ventures- Indovinya is currently looking for an Operations Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Dayton, TX. This position will provide operations support for the Dayton Surfactants Plant. In this role, you will work on plant maintenance tasks, manage the maintenance budget, and oversee the maintenance backlog. You will chair daily meetings focused on converting notifications to work orders and ensure that scheduled maintenance is executed efficiently. As the Operations Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the safe work performance of all personnel in your area of responsibility. You will promote and maintain a clean and environmentally safe facility, aiming for a zero safety and environmental incident rate. Your role will involve participating in monthly safety walks and meetings to ensure compliance with safety standards. You will communicate with the Maintenance Team Lead to allocate staffing, tools, and equipment necessary for smooth operations. You will chair weekly Gatekeeper Meetings with the Maintenance Team Lead and Planner to discuss notifications that need to be converted to work orders and review the backlog of work orders to prioritize upcoming tasks. Collaboration with Production Supervisors and the Production Engineer will be essential to establish maintenance work priorities. You will also be responsible for approving daily overtime and maintaining the area maintenance budget, including tracking costs for planned and unplanned work. Your duties will include writing work orders for unplanned maintenance activities and ensuring that all work orders are completed as required. Participation in Maintenance KPI meetings and weekly resource allocation meetings will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires a regular presence in the workplace and may involve working extra hours or overtime to meet production objectives. You will work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds and assist in achieving Indorama's company goals while participating in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives and completing required training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operations support for the Dayton Surfactants Plant.
  • Manage plant maintenance work and maintenance budget control.
  • Chair daily meetings to convert notifications to work orders and oversee scheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure safe work performance of all personnel in the area of responsibility.
  • Promote and maintain a clean and environmentally safe facility.
  • Encourage a zero safety and environmental incident rate for the unit.
  • Participate in monthly safety walks and ensure follow-up on findings.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Team Lead to allocate staffing, tools, and equipment for work execution.
  • Chair weekly Gatekeeper Meetings to discuss notifications and review backlog of work orders.
  • Work with Production Supervisors and Production Engineer to establish maintenance work priorities.
  • Approve daily overtime upon Operations Manager's approval.
  • Maintain a cost ledger for all work with estimated or actual costs.
  • Run and review SAP cost transactions to track actual vs. planned costs.
  • Set up spare equipment fitness evaluations prior to scheduled repairs.
  • Write work orders for unplanned maintenance activities and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Participate in Maintenance KPI meetings and Weekly Resource Allocation Meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant maintenance/operations/logistics experience in a process industry such as petrochemical, refinery, pulp & paper or power plant required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or not less than 5 years of experience in a Chemicals Manufacturing / Maintenance environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to understand unit processes and make knowledgeable, timely decisions relating to unit maintenance coordination.
  • Experience with SAP or other maintenance work order software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Consistent track record of demonstrating leadership.
