About the position

The Operations Manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory will oversee operations management and provide support to the Facility Operations Director (FOD) within the Institutional Facilities Division. This role is crucial for ensuring that over 280 occupied facilities and 900 structures are operated and maintained safely and compliantly, particularly focusing on a RCRA Permitted Hazardous and Radiological Waste Facility. The Operations Manager will lead daily operations, process improvements, and budget oversight while managing resources effectively to support facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations management and oversight to the Facility Operations Director (FOD).
• Ensure facilities are operated and maintained in a safe, secure, and compliant manner.
• Direct daily operations and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide budgetary oversight for facility operations.
• Coordinate facility activities and manage resources effectively.
• Oversee operations at TA-60-17, a RCRA Permitted Hazardous and Radiological Waste Facility.
• Manage Operators, Building Managers, and Operations Specialists to support facility operations.
