The Team Manager for Operations plays a crucial role in leading a dedicated team of Case Managers, Replacement Technicians, and Policy Support personnel. This position is based in Montpelier, Vermont, or Addison, Texas, and operates on a hybrid schedule, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. The Team Manager is responsible for fostering a strong, professional, and focused team environment that emphasizes productive collaboration with the team's designated distribution partners. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the distribution partners receive the most efficient, productive, and satisfying life insurance placement experience possible. In this leadership position, the Team Manager will establish and maintain a focus on winning profitable business from the most successful distribution partners. They will serve as the primary point of contact for these partners, managing client relationships and addressing any conflicts or appeals that arise, except those strictly related to underwriting decisions. The Team Manager will also oversee personnel management, which includes setting team and individual performance goals, managing metrics, and developing individual development plans. Additionally, they will be responsible for team workload and capacity management, ensuring that performance metrics such as cycle time, placement rate, and persistency are met. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Team Manager will work across distribution and enterprise-wide teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in operations.
