About the position

The Operations Manager for Annuity New Business is responsible for leading a team of Case Managers, Replacement Technicians, and Policy Support personnel. This role focuses on enhancing the life insurance placement experience for distribution partners, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining strong client relationships. The manager will oversee team performance, manage conflicts, and collaborate with various teams to drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to provide efficient and satisfying life insurance placement experiences for distribution partners.
  • Establish and sustain focus on winning profitable business from successful distribution partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distribution leadership and manage client relationships.
  • Adjudicate conflicts and appeals, excluding underwriting decisions.
  • Oversee personnel management, including performance goals, metrics, and individual development plans.
  • Manage team workload, capacity, and performance metrics such as cycle time and placement rate.
  • Collaborate across distribution and enterprise-wide teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10 years of business experience in the life and annuity industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and command skills.
  • Effective at motivating and managing vision and purpose.
  • Exceptional customer focus with an understanding of distribution partner needs.
  • Demonstrated strength in building effective teams and developing direct reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to pass a background check that may include fingerprinting.
