About the position

G2 Secure Staff is seeking an Operations Manager for the DSM Operations at Des Moines International Airport. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing cabin service operations, managing staff schedules, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and strong communication skills, playing a key role in maintaining employee relations and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations with primary responsibility over scheduling/staffing, managing daily budgeted hours, and limiting operations overtime.
  • Train/retrain all personnel in airline/airport procedures, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Responsible for scheduling all airport employees and ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Maintain good employee relations and handle employee problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Familiarize with all TSA, FAA, Airline, and Company regulations.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from Airline, staff, and the public in a courteous manner.
  • Effectively communicate with senior airline management and project a positive image in responding to airlines, staff, and public inquiries.
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required.
  • Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports, and files as required.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achieving company objectives.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in data entry and aviation operations
  • Ability to multitask and work in a changing environment
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice-to-haves

  • Supervisor/Manager experience in airline operations
  • 1 year or more of Supervisory experience preferred
  • Operations or Airline experience preferred
  • Flexibility in scheduling and operations
