About the position

The Operations Manager - DC Operations at Holman Logistics is responsible for overseeing daily activities in the facility and warehouse, ensuring quality and accuracy in shipping and receiving products. This role emphasizes employee management, coaching, and fostering a positive company culture while driving continuous improvement in operational systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily activities of the facility and warehouse.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of shipping and receiving of products.
• Read and enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Assist in developing and implementing company policies and objectives.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate supervisory personnel.
• Collaborate with leadership and quality representatives to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee supervision of facility and warehouse Team Members.
• Coach, train, and develop hourly Team Members and front-line managers.
• Monitor and audit operations for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary follow-ups as required.
• Anticipate and address causes of delays in operations.
• Facilitate mill shut-downs and set up labor plans.
• Participate in quarterly inspections and audits.
• Interview and recruit applicants for promotable positions.
• Coordinate waste stream processes and contingency plans.
• Drive a forklift as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five years of previous work experience in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Green Belt.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, and Word).
• Ability to master internal computer systems including SAP.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
