About the position

The Operations Manager for Amazon Logistics Last Mile Delivery at X Speed Logistics is responsible for leading a team of delivery associates and ensuring operational excellence within the logistics framework. This role requires a strong background in business leadership, particularly in Last Mile Logistics, and involves managing a team of over 100 drivers to optimize operations and meet service metrics in accordance with Amazon's standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 100+ delivery associate drivers on a day-to-day basis.
• Optimize operations to deliver exceptional service metrics in accordance with Amazon.
• Utilize technology and display proficiency in Fleet Management tools such as dispatching software.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work for Sprinter Cargo and Step Van vehicles with vendors and mechanics.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to maximize team performance.
• Engage effectively with associates and other team members to achieve goal-oriented results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of leadership and general management experience in the Last Mile Delivery industry.
• Proven track record in a managerial leadership role within the logistics industry or similar, particularly in transportation and Last Mile Package deliveries.
• Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Suites.
• Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Amazon DSP operations or prior experience at Amazon DSP is highly desirable.
• Technologically savvy with proficiency in logistics software, systems, and tools.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
