About the position

The Operations Manager at American Heritage Partners is responsible for managing the organization's contacts database and enhancing its online presence through social media and website content. This entry-level position involves collaborating with the V.P. Operations to post content, monitor social media activity, and assist in marketing efforts. The role also includes tracking events, communicating with partner organizations, and preparing reports for the Board.

Responsibilities

  • Manage AHP's contacts database
  • Post content to AHP's online sites including website and social media platforms
  • Format and post weekly blog content
  • Monitor social media activity and circulate weekly summaries
  • Recommend new social media platforms and evaluate costs
  • Review website content of target organizations and identify upcoming events
  • Create weekly summaries of new events of interest to AHP
  • Identify key contacts at target organizations and update contact information
  • Assist in developing marketing and advertising materials
  • Track local and regional events for advertising opportunities
  • Communicate with partner organizations for potential collaborations
  • Respond to public inquiries and escalate to the Board as needed
  • Attend quarterly Board meetings and prepare requested reports
  • Assist with event planning and tech support as needed
  • Assist in recruiting and training additional staff
  • Occasional travel for job-related duties

Requirements

  • Experience with social media management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Basic knowledge of marketing and advertising principles
  • Familiarity with online content management

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of graphic design or content creation tools
  • Familiarity with event planning
