About the position

The Menzies Aviation Fuel Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational and maintenance activities at the airport fuel facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves leadership, coordination, and evaluation of the fuel system group, as well as maintaining effective customer relations and managing budgetary processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance for operational and maintenance requirements of the airport fuel facility.
  • Review reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department operations.
  • Revise and implement quality assurance procedures to meet ATA 103 requirements.
  • Monitor fuel system requirements and ensure availability of workers and equipment.
  • Maintain effective relations with customers and investigate accidents/incidents to recommend safety measures.
  • Direct involvement in the budgetary process for the fuel system.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the fuel system group operations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Communicate required information to other managers and departments.
  • Suggest improvements to working practices related to safety and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in the aviation industry is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identifications/seals or authorizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior aviation experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
