Operations Manager - Granite State Distilling

About the position

The Operations Manager at Granite State Distilling, a facility of Sazerac Company, is responsible for overseeing all operations within the New Hampshire plant. This role focuses on fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and service. The Operations Manager will implement rigorous standards and problem-solving techniques to enhance operational performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for the entire New Hampshire facility.
• Create a culture that values teamwork and winning.
• Improve safety, food safety, quality, efficiency, and service through rigorous standards.
• Lead safety programs towards zero OSHA Recordable injuries.
• Ensure safe execution of work roles and availability of necessary equipment.
• Engineer safety into projects and new equipment installations.
• Lead processing and bottling departments in safety program rollouts and improvements.
• Accomplish production requirements within safety, quality, budgetary, and regulatory guidelines.
• Plan and implement operational improvements with supervisors and employees.
• Drive production efficiency and cost management through corrective action techniques.
• Establish best-in-class methods for efficiency and quality goals.
• Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies.
• Conduct PDS reviews with direct reports on competencies.
• Implement structured data collection and analysis programs.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives to identify root causes of issues.
• Implement 5S initiatives in Bottling Operations for safety and efficiency.
• Develop and implement daily cleaning processes for all employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience driving change within an organization.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification.
• Familiarity with beverage processing and associated equipment.
• Experience and certification in Lean/6S and/or TPM.
