About the position

The Operations Manager at the Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando-International Dr. North plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that guests receive the highest levels of satisfaction while driving business success. This full-time, salaried management position reports directly to the General Manager and is located in Orlando, Florida. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all departments within the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and adherence to brand standards. In this position, the Operations Manager will develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies to ensure that all operations run smoothly and effectively. Training and supervising staff members is a key responsibility, as is providing ongoing development and performance coaching to ensure that all team members are equipped to meet the hotel's high standards. The Operations Manager will also monitor and manage budgets and expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and purchasing, to ensure financial success. Regular inspections of the property will be conducted to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with brand standards. The Operations Manager will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue, identify new business opportunities, and maintain positive relationships with guests. Handling guest complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner is also a critical aspect of this role. Staying informed about industry trends, market changes, and new technology advancements is essential to keep the hotel competitive in the hospitality market. Other duties may be assigned by the General Manager as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and regulations, including safety and security protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market changes, and new technology advancements to ensure the hotel remains competitive.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and stand for extended periods.
