About the position

The Operations Manager (Hospitality) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and efficient management of staff and resources. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients and event staff, while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between the client, event manager, chefs, servers, and attendants.
  • Communicate scheduling needs of food and beverage service staff at all team meetings.
  • Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Support, manage, and supervise banquet staff performance.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and local regulations.
  • Monitor guest feedback and ensure prompt resolution of any complaints or service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality operations management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software and tools.
