About the position

The Operations Manager I at Catholic Community Services plays a vital role in the success of the New Bethlehem Programs (NBP) by overseeing facilities, assisting with staff development, and managing administrative duties. This full-time position involves ensuring the smooth operation of services provided to families experiencing homelessness in East King County, including managing supplies, maintaining accurate data records, and leading various operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly leadership meetings and provide leadership in areas of policy implementation, organizational systems, and day-to-day operations.
  • Participate in Management on-call rotation and provide support to staff during emergency situations.
  • Oversee facilities operations and ensure room inspections, safety, and cleanliness of the building.
  • Lead the quarterly Safety Committee and conduct fire safety drills for all building residents.
  • Manage operational supplies inventory and conduct regular supply runs to local stores and vendors.
  • Monitor financial reports and prepare financial information for contract reporting.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and generate reports to maintain data quality.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations around meal services and client assistance fund disbursement.

Requirements

  • AA degree in Social Services Management or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in accounting and data management.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in staff mentorship and training.
  • Understanding of homelessness causes and comfort working with individuals facing substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic violence.
  • Proficient in office computer skills and effective communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a social service program.
  • Proficiency in secondary languages.
  • CPR/First Aid training.
