About the position

The Operations Manager II at DB Schenker is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contract logistics operations. This role focuses on ensuring high service levels while maintaining cost efficiency. The manager will coordinate site activities, implement operational plans, and manage budgets, all while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and control all aspects of the operation to provide the highest level of service at the lowest cost.
• Coordinate, manage and monitor the work at the site.
• Act as the liaison to the General Manager, implementing and managing operational plans.
• Prepare and control operational budgets and manage inventory.
• Develop effective strategies for the financial well-being of the site.
• Recruit and train staff, establish organizational structures, and supervise staff performance.
• Maintain and implement plans to establish productivity, safety standards, quality, cost control, and employee morale.
• Review, analyze, modify, and implement efficient department processes, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2 years of related supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and KPI management is a plus.
