About the position

The Operations Manager at U.S. Water Services Corporation is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations at wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves managing a team of operators, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong client relationships. The Operations Manager will also be involved in project management, financial oversight, and staff development within the industrial water services sector.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily operations at wastewater treatment facilities.
• Monitor and adjust processes, controls, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage project finances and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Implement contractor and maintenance work permit systems.
• Facilitate proposal preparation and client relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely submission of reports.
• Provide leadership and training to site supervisors and operators.
• Conduct routine laboratory and field tests for process control.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of operational experience in water or wastewater services.
• 5 years of project management experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain necessary licenses for the area managed.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated capability in health and safety training.

Nice-to-haves

• Wastewater Operator license preferred.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA systems.
