About the position

The Operations Manager at Creature Comforts Pet Resort is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume pet care facility. This position requires a passion for working with animals, strong management skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Operations Manager will lead a team, ensure client satisfaction, manage staff, and maintain fiscal accountability while upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operations team, including hiring, firing, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee all facility operations including boarding, daycare, grooming, and training services.
• Ensure high-quality customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
• Handle customer complaints to ensure positive outcomes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility.
• Monitor supply inventories and address maintenance needs.
• Assist in day-to-day accounting functions, including payroll and client account reviews.
• Participate in direct animal care as needed, including administering medication and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-year degree in Business/Accounting or Zoological/Animal Science (4-year preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or operations manager position, managing a team of at least 5 people.
• Strong track record of successful staff management, including hiring, firing, training, and support.
• Proven customer service and client satisfaction skills.
• Pet care facility experience is preferred but not required.
