About the position

The Operations Manager at Creature Comforts Pet Resort is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume pet care facility. This position requires a passion for working with pets, strong management skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Operations Manager will lead a team, ensure client satisfaction, manage staff, and maintain fiscal accountability while adhering to high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the operations of the pet care facility, including boarding, daycare, grooming, and training services.
  • Oversee staff management, including hiring, firing, coaching, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service standards are met and exceeded, handling customer complaints effectively.
  • Monitor cleanliness and sanitation standards, addressing maintenance needs and supply inventories.
  • Assist in day-to-day accounting functions, including payroll reports and reconciliation of daily deposits.
  • Participate in direct animal care as needed, including administering medication and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or Zoological/Animal Science (Bachelor's preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or operations manager position, managing a team of at least 5 people.
  • Strong track record of successful staff management, including hiring, training, and support.
  • Proven customer service and client satisfaction skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a pet care facility is preferred but not required if other skills are exceptionally well-suited.
