About The Position
The Operations Manager at Waste Pro is tasked with overseeing the operations of one or more facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of residential and commercial solid waste and recyclables. This role is critical in maintaining superior customer service while adhering to environmental regulations and operational standards. The Operations Manager will coordinate various aspects of the operation, including planning, administration, training, and logistical support, to drive continuous improvement in operations, client relations, and employee performance. In this position, the Operations Manager will be responsible for building a high-performance team by exercising sound judgment and balancing command and control effectively. Key responsibilities include determining staffing levels to meet seasonal demands, monitoring operational metrics, and measuring team performance to exceed production targets. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Division/District Manager(s) to meet defined objectives, provide timely reporting, and ensure that training and coaching are effectively implemented. Any issues or concerns will be escalated to the leadership team as necessary. The role also involves formulating and managing operational budgets, conducting root cause investigations for incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Operations Manager will interact with local agencies to enhance business relationships and promote community involvement, ensuring customer satisfaction. Regular reviews of operational performance, employee relations, and safety programs will be part of the job, along with the responsibility to respond to critical incidents at any time.
