About the position

The NDS Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and operations of SmartROS automation solutions and RigCLOUD in the MENA Geo-Market. This role requires strategic business acumen, leadership in advancing business growth, and collaboration with various teams to deliver value propositions to customers. The manager will lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective deployment of automation solutions and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Manage group operations to ensure adequate field coverage for ongoing activities on Nabors and non-Nabors rigs.
• Lead projects on commissioning and rig deployments for RTXT, SmartROS, and RigCLOUD jobs.
• Coordinate service trials and startups with all involved functions (Customer, Product Line, Drilling Operations, Training, Field Service, etc.).
• Work closely with location and Sales organizations to understand needs and opportunities for NDS technologies.
• Provide technical mentoring to engineers regarding drilling processes and dynamics.
• Contribute to the development of performance metrics, tools, and methodologies.
• Engage with customers in well planning and drilling performance discussions to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Track and report active job and trial activity, ensuring adequate staffing and resources for operations.
• Guide the implementation and growth of the Customer Success Management team to drive adoption of NDS products.
• Direct the Service Delivery & Operations support organization for field operations teams.
• Monitor Demand x Supply and follow finance AFE procedures.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of the drilling process and the mechanics/physics involved.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop analysis spreadsheets and reports.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• 10-15 years of experience in drilling operations and drilling performance roles.

Nice-to-haves

• BS in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical).
• 5 years of experience in drilling operations and drilling performance roles.
