About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing department operations within Cardinal Health's distribution or manufacturing environment. This role includes managing materials handling, product distribution, warehousing, inventory management, and ensuring strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function. The position operates on a night shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM, or until tasks are completed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage department operations and supervise professional employees, front line supervisors, and/or business support staff.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
  • Ensure employees operate within established guidelines.
  • Make decisions that have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers.
  • Interact with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management.
  • Resolve issues related to operations and/or projects and gain consensus from various parties involved.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
