About the position

The Operations Manager of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for overseeing all operations related to cardiovascular services at Self Regional Healthcare. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, and maintaining communication between various stakeholders. The manager will also focus on quality improvement, budget management, and staff development within the cardiovascular departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations for cardiovascular services at Self Regional Healthcare.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the delivery of patient care for cardiovascular services.
  • Address patient and medical staff needs and concerns.
  • Manage processes to ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.
  • Interface with other areas of the hospital to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and contractual organizations.
  • Administer and establish hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Attend external meetings and seminars to maintain professional acumen.
  • Collect, generate, analyze, and distribute statistical reports as required.
  • Manage Quality Monitoring and Performance Improvement activities for cardiovascular services.
  • Develop annual departmental revenue, expense, and personnel budgets for cardiovascular departments.
  • Develop and update marketing plans based on CPC evaluations.
  • Evaluate architectural site requirements for existing and future services.
  • Clearly define authority and responsibility for all cardiovascular services employees.
  • Encourage professional growth of subordinates.
  • Evaluate and counsel employees on performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Perform hiring of new employees in the cardiovascular services departments.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Director of Cardiovascular Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in cardiovascular services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration or business administration.
  • Experience with budget management and financial planning.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies in healthcare.
