About the position

The Operations Manager role at Skedaddle is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the package delivery operations in Johnstown, CO. This role involves managing a team of 30 employees and multiple supervisors to ensure efficient and effective delivery services. The Operations Manager will implement continuous improvement projects, manage the P&L, and develop strategies for growth while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all facets of package delivery operations, including delivery operations, fleet management, and human resources.
  • Oversee the P&L and develop strategies for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes using route planning software.
  • Build and lead a high-performance team of 30+ delivery drivers, focusing on safety and customer service.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and schedule new employees to maintain reliable service year-round.
  • Assess the current management teams and develop action plans for their development.
  • Establish and evaluate KPIs for the business unit, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and maintain cost centers, implementing cost savings programs.
  • Define and ensure implementation of Standard Operations Policies and Procedures across all locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding employee safety and DOT operations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in warehouse management or transportation management.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal interactions.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology tools in all aspects of the position.
  • Prior experience with implementing new technologies within an operation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate issues before they arise.
