Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Manager as part of the Trust Specialty Asset Services Support team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. The Operations Manager will oversee a production processing subset of the full Trust Specialty Asset Services Support team, focusing on specific activities in support of oil, gas, mineral, real estate, and insurance assets, along with other specified trust functions as deemed applicable. This role is critical in ensuring that specialized asset functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance. In this position, you will manage and develop one or more specialized trust services and operations functional teams within the Operations area, which involves complex and risk-laden functional areas. You will be responsible for developing strategies to improve staffing processes and engaging stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area. A key aspect of this role is to build out a team by quickly learning new processes and procedures, then training team members accordingly. You will identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development, escalating issues to more experienced management as necessary. Additionally, you will provide training, performance evaluation, and coaching of less experienced team members. Decision-making and issue resolution regarding resources, objectives, and operations of the functional area will be part of your responsibilities to meet business objectives. You will also interpret and develop policies and procedures for operational functions with low to moderate complexity within your scope of responsibility, while providing oversight for budget and financial performance. Collaboration and influence across all levels of professionals, including more experienced managers, will be essential as you lead your team to achieve objectives and meet the daily functions of Specialty Asset Services Support operations. You will manage the allocation of people and financial resources for Operations and mentor and guide the talent development of your direct reports, assisting in hiring talent as needed.
