About the position

The Operations Manager at Siemens Spartanburg Fulfillment Center is responsible for overseeing the receiving, shipping, and assembly operations, ensuring efficient processes and high standards of quality and productivity. This role involves leading a team of 65 employees, including 2 supervisors, and collaborating closely with the Site Manager to achieve operational goals. The position emphasizes an ownership culture where employees are empowered to make decisions and innovate for success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods.
• Manage the shipping process to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.
• Supervise the assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for the Site Manager.
• Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Work closely with the customer service team to address any operational issues impacting customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a fulfillment or manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
