About the position
The Operations Manager Surgical Services will oversee all business-related activities within the surgical services and endoscopy departments of a leading acute care hospital in eastern Massachusetts. This role involves collaboration with various healthcare teams to ensure fiscal responsibility and effective management of resources, while also participating in committees focused on value analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor all business-related activities within the surgical services and endoscopy departments.
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers, OR Support Staff, and the Surgical team to promote fiscal responsibility.
- Develop and maintain the materials management program.
- Oversee capital and operational budgets.
- Serve as an active member of the hospital Value Analysis Committee and OR Value Analysis Subcommittees.
Requirements
- Degree in healthcare administration, financial management, or related field.
- Progressive knowledge of surgical materials management.
- Prior leadership experience is a plus.
