About the position

The Operations Manager Trainee Program at CPI Service is an 18-month rotational program designed for motivated individuals seeking to develop their leadership skills in the home services industry. Trainees will gain comprehensive experience across three key departments: Office Administration, Estimating, and Plumbing Operations, preparing them for a leadership role within 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience in office administration, estimating, and plumbing operations.
  • Manage essential operational tasks, including dispatching, invoicing, collections, and basic accounting.
  • Work directly with customers to schedule appointments, address inquiries, and resolve service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Post-graduate work experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zapier; familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Strong phone communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with formal accounting coursework as an asset.
  • Willingness to dive into new challenges and grow skill set.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service and office management.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating and project management.
