About the position

The Operations Manager will oversee and enhance operational processes within the Home Improvement industry, ensuring efficiency and effective resource management. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement, aligning operational strategies with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of backlog management, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion.
  • Implement process improvement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity across departments.
  • Develop and execute strategic planning initiatives that align with the company's long-term vision.
  • Ensure that all dates and statuses are accurately updated daily in the CRM system.
  • Lead and mentor a team, both onsite and offsite, demonstrating strong servant leadership.
  • Ensure that all measurements are completed and submitted within 48 hours.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner, preventing mis-ordered products.
  • Train staff to recognize and halt the ordering process in the event of mis-measures.
  • Continuously improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Cross-train the ordering team on product knowledge and service ordering.
  • Formulate strategic objectives to reduce the service count and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management.
  • Strong background in ordering processes in the home improvement industry.
  • Strong background in process improvement and project management.
  • Strong background in CRM and Backlog Management.
  • Demonstrated ability in overseeing and mentoring a team.
  • Experience in business development and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on driving results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge of Siding, Windows, Doors, Bath Remodeling, Flooring, and Kitchen Cabinet Refacing.
  • Proven experience in operational management or similar roles.
  • Proven experience in supervising teams and managing operational functions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of Backlog management principles.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
