About the position

The Operations Manager at SP+ is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a parking facility, ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines, and fostering positive client relations. This role involves managing staff, handling customer interactions, and maintaining operational efficiency while promoting a professional image of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the assigned location ensuring that parking operations are handled within contractual guidelines.
  • Foster good client relations and promote a professional image and approach to the business.
  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals.
  • Supervise the completion of all evening closing reports and process bank deposits.
  • Schedule staff and supervise frontline staff including cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters.
  • Prepare month-end reports and audit daily cashier shift reports.
  • Monitor and check time cards, hire and train frontline staff, and review damage claims.
  • Disburse petty cash and prepare the annual budget.
  • Assist customers by answering any questions they may have.
  • Maintain and repair parking equipment and perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong oral communication skills; speaks clearly and listens effectively.
  • Written communication skills; able to write clearly and interpret written information.
  • Strong customer orientation and positive attitude; able to respond to requests for service and assistance in a courteous manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with unexpected events.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $85,000 - $90,000 a year.
