About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in strategic planning, project management, process improvement, and safety in relation to a supervisory or management role in the steel sales, fabrication, or manufacturing environment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage teams effectively while driving process improvements and ensuring profitability. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in aligning operational strategies with the overall business goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage all warehouse operations staff
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Oversee project management initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Implement and monitor safety initiatives
• Monitor operational expenses
• Implement process improvement strategies to streamline workflows and reduce costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational objectives with sales and marketing initiatives to improve the customer experience
• Prepare reports on operational performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a supervisor or operations manager in a steel sales, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in safety and training
• Strong skills in strategic planning, project management, and supervising teams
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with a track record of managing diverse teams
• Experience in analyzing P&L statements and making data-driven decisions
• Data driven -- comfortable with spreadsheets (building and monitoring)
