About the position

The Operations Manager (OM) at Ulta Beauty is responsible for leading a high-performing team to achieve top-line sales growth while embodying the company's mission, vision, and values. This role involves overseeing store operations, managing inventory processes, and driving performance through effective team development and operational excellence. The OM plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of accountability and ensuring compliance with company standards, all while enhancing the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Task Associates and the Merchandise Manager to support store operations.
• Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed store goals related to sales and guest loyalty.
• Drive company profitability through operational excellence and expense control.
• Leverage store forecasts and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and achieve sales goals.
• Review and analyze financial and operational reporting to drive improvements.
• Perform makeup applications and product demonstrations to enhance guest service.
• Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent for the store.
• Support professional development through training and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and standards for the store.
• Manage inventory control processes and protect company assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant work experience.
• Proven success in driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets.
• Experience in monitoring inventory levels and achieving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract and develop talent.
• Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office.
