About the position

The Operations Manager at Fleet Farm is responsible for leading various key store operations, including Front End Operations, Convenience Store/Gas Operations, Facilities, Scheduling/Labor Management, Pricing/Inventory Coordination, Reset/Project Coordination, and Loss Prevention. This role focuses on continuous improvement, team development, and ensuring optimal customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and mentor team members to achieve Best in Class execution and customer service.
• Oversee the development and execution of individual development plans for direct and indirect reports.
• Ensure staffing aligns with budget and customer needs.
• Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of all Team Members in conjunction with human resources.
• Monitor store wage and expense control programs and identify variances for corrective action.
• Oversee cash management policies, procedures, and practices.
• Implement, audit, and administer the Fleet Rewards Visa, Store Credit Card, and Loyalty Program.
• Provide guidance for customer-related issues as needed.
• Oversee efforts to reduce shrink activity in collaboration with the Loss Prevention Lead.
• Promote Fleet Farm customer loyalty program and other company initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5 years of management experience within a Big Box retailer preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to direct and motivate a diverse population of full-time and part-time team members.
• Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, plan and delegate tasks, monitor goals, and respond to change.
• Flexible schedule with open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
