About the position

The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) role at PDS Health is designed for individuals to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to independently manage a PDS-supported dental office. The OMT will engage in a structured development program, which includes practical application and mentorship, with the goal of becoming proficient in office management within 4-6 months. This position emphasizes professional growth, team development, and operational excellence in a dental practice setting.

Responsibilities

  • Model company culture and values based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Engage in the assessment, hiring, and retention of team members through training and coaching.
  • Investigate and resolve staff and patient issues with effective solutions.
  • Execute the PDS Operational Model to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive revenue and profit growth year over year.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Adhere to cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Catalyze team development for the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Deliver effective leadership and coaching to team members.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors to build trust-based relationships.
  • Gain proficiency in People-related functions such as hiring and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies.
  • Report weekly to the Regional Manager on performance and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan for efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance, or reliable means of alternate transportation for travel to multiple offices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates.
