About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the warehouse and administrative functions within the branch. This role involves ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and practices, with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction while maximizing branch productivity and profitability. The Operations Manager will evaluate and identify process improvements to enhance the overall operation of the branch, ensuring that the movement of products into and out of inventory is managed effectively. Additionally, this position entails managing the personnel function of the store, which includes hiring, training, and evaluating employees in collaboration with the Human Resources Department. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in monitoring key financial measurements of the branch, ensuring that all operations align with the company's strategic goals. This position requires strong leadership skills, as the manager will be responsible for planning and scheduling the work of others, fostering a productive work environment, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and vendors. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats, is essential for success in this role. Proficiency in general personal computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel, is also required to perform daily tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Previous experience in business or operations management, preferably in the electrical distribution industry.
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Leadership skills and ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
  • Proficiency in general personal computer applications and Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
