About the position

The Operations Manager at MV Transportation is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the assigned operating location, ensuring the delivery of annual business plans and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves managing daily operations of transportation contracts, overseeing call center functions, maintaining customer relations, and ensuring safety and training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-time performance and driver availability.
• Oversee all call center functions.
• Maintain customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
• Communicate effectively with location staff and support team members.
• Assist in overseeing safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining the safety culture of the division.
• Maintain routine client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct periodic departmental audits.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in location labor and employee relations activities.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of transit experience.
• One (1) to three (3) years of management experience in a similar sized shuttle environment.
• Experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations and company policy.

Nice-to-haves

• Shuttle experience preferred, airport shuttle a plus.
• Trapeze experience preferred.
• Experience managing a fast-paced environment.
