About the position

The Operations Manager at LT Staffing Inc. is responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality product delivery. This role involves overseeing assembly management, purchasing, material control, production planning, and shipping and receiving, all while implementing cost-effective strategies to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
  • Schedule, prioritize, and assign work to the supervisors in designated work areas.
  • Monitor and check work assignments to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Schedule overtime if required, maintain good employee relations, review, and adjust staffing requirements as required.
  • Manage department in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Add documented structure to operational systems.
  • Make suggestions for the development and implementation of organizational strategies and practices.
  • Manage vendor, purchasing, and inventory.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planning processes as appropriate.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies.
  • Select and develop qualified individuals to meet short and long-term staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Operations Management.
  • 5-7 years of previous operations management experience, including forecasting and scheduling.
  • Experience with offshore high-tech supplier management.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in materials manufacturing and processing.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
