About the position

The Operations Manager at Seizmic Inc. plays a crucial leadership role, reporting directly to the President. This position oversees all operational subdivisions, including Engineering, Fabrication, Permitting, Testing, and Inspections, ensuring cohesive operations and alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The Operations Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement, monitoring departmental challenges, and making informed decisions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities across all operational departments to promote alignment with the company's vision and goals.
  • Manage and provide guidance to department leaders, ensuring smooth and collaborative departmental functions.
  • Proactively identify and address operational challenges, developing solutions with department heads to optimize productivity.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to stay updated on team goals and challenges, communicating updates to the President.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and address performance gaps.
  • Regularly evaluate workflows and processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
  • Manage resource allocation and budgeting across departments to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Partner with the Lab Quality Manager and Inspections Coordinator to ensure operations meet quality standards and comply with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, management, or a related role, with a track record of overseeing multiple departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated capacity to support departments in resolving complex challenges.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, resource management, and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly within engineering, fabrication, testing, and inspection domains.
