About the position

As the Operations Manager at American Hydroseed, you will oversee the daily operations of hydroseeding and erosion control projects. This role is crucial for coordinating crews, managing material orders, ensuring equipment maintenance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members. Your leadership will be essential for the company's success.

Responsibilities

• Order and manage materials for various projects.
• Create, review, and send out estimates in collaboration with the estimator.
• Schedule and coordinate daily crews of up to 25 people across 5-10 job sites.
• Oversee the coordination of equipment repairs and maintenance, including skid steers, trucks, and small tools.
• Handle incoming calls and daily work requests from customers and the office.
• Coordinate the work and scheduling for the washout truck.
• Report directly to the owner, providing updates on operations.
• Approve bills, daily reports, and invoices.
• Conduct site visits to ensure project compliance and quality.
• Create and review submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).

Requirements

• 3-5 years of proven experience in construction management or a related field.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in scheduling and resource management.
• Familiarity with construction equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• A valid driver's license.
