About the position

The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) at PDS Health is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to independently manage a PDS-supported dental office. This role emphasizes professional development through a structured training program, practical application, and mentorship, with the expectation that the trainee will be capable of managing a dental office within 4-6 months of completing the program.

Responsibilities

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Engage in the assessment, hiring, and retention of team members through training, supervision, counseling, and coaching.
  • Investigate and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and developing effective solutions.
  • Execute the PDS Operational Model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth while managing expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Catalyze team development to enhance the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Deliver effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors to develop trust-based relationships and address issues early.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies.
  • Report weekly to the Regional Manager on accomplishments, areas for improvement, and performance goals.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and operational protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Ability to travel to multiple offices per day, with reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates.
