About the position

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a family-owned group of restaurants in Rhode Island, primarily focusing on Burrillville Diner and Juliana's Italian Bakery, while also collaborating with Campanellas Restaurant and Caffe Itri. This hands-on role requires a strategic thinker who can implement policies, maintain patron satisfaction, and ensure a safe and healthy environment in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurants' daily operations.
  • Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
  • Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.
  • Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to restaurant accomplishments.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years experience in high volume Restaurant General Management.
  • Strong commitment for continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Hands-on and desire to learn all aspects of budgets, purchasing, labor costs, food costing, and inventory controls.
  • Excellent service skills and guest service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build strong teams and a collaborative environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage staff at all levels.
  • High personal integrity, professionalism, and maturity.
  • Excellent math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer and automation skills (POS / Word / Excel experience with TOAST would be a value add).
