About the position

AGRILAND FS is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of its locations. This role focuses on directing product distribution, improving efficiencies, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving financial objectives. The Operations Manager will lead a team of location managers and customer service personnel, fostering a culture of communication and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AGRILAND FS locations, Location Managers, and customer service team members.
  • Manage operations to ensure excellent customer satisfaction while maximizing efficiencies and managing distribution costs.
  • Work closely with location managers to manage expenses effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products and services (Energy, Agronomy, and Seed).
  • Ensure all location facilities are secure according to company guidelines.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend compensation and disciplinary actions for personnel.
  • Provide operational and technical information for Location Managers and customer service teams.
  • Promote accurate Agriland FS billing programs in collaboration with location managers, agronomists, and location administrators.
  • Facilitate good communication through location team meetings.
  • Identify and implement best practices for strong financial performance and outstanding customer service.
  • Provide proactive leadership for training and development plans to improve operations and customer service.
  • Direct safety and regulatory plans at all locations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of company equipment and facility maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or 8-10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience or strong understanding of Ag Retail preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent business skills with experience in CTO, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Very good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Class A CDL with endorsements required.
  • Must maintain Custom Applicator License.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of sixty pounds and position that product as required.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and walk on platforms at required heights.
  • Ability to operate all required vehicles and equipment.
