About the position

The Operations Manager at CEVA Logistics is responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring high levels of service, profitability, and cost efficiency while adhering to company and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing inbound and outbound logistics, staffing, safety practices, and administrative functions, as well as coaching and mentoring direct reports to foster their career development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage inbound and/or outbound site operations to ensure service agreements are met or exceeded.
• Maximize profitability through superior customer service and effective communication with customers.
• Manage revenue and expenses to adhere to budget constraints.
• Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Communicate directives, rules, and procedures to all operations staff.
• Implement and maintain safety methods, practices, and programs.
• Inspect and schedule maintenance to ensure a clean, professional, and safe working environment.
• Oversee administrative functions to ensure compliance and timely processing of paperwork.
• Coach, train, and mentor direct reports, providing career development opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum five years of related experience and three years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Valid state issued Driver's License and Forklift Driver Certification required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications.
• Ability to allocate work assignments and manage financial aspects of a department.
