About The Position

The Operations Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for overseeing the safe operation and movement of rental cars within the facility. This role involves dispatching drivers, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Operations Manager serves as a leader, providing training and guidance to staff while maintaining communication with customers and identifying areas for improvement in safety and productivity.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of six months of leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles and oversee their movement under customer direction.
• Perform quality inspections and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
• Make sound decisions quickly under pressure.
• Conduct frequent assessments of team effectiveness and address potential issues.
• Ensure all supervised employees are efficiently performing their duties.
• Maintain constant communication with the customer and seek direction when necessary.
• Provide training to establish acceptable practices and correct deficiencies.
• Identify and communicate safety issues to management and the customer.
• Ensure proper vehicle signaling and parking practices are followed by drivers.
• Oversee the washing of vehicles to ensure cleanliness without damage.
• Complete and report accident reports accurately and promptly.
• Counsel, train, or discipline employees as necessary for safety violations or accidents.
• Dispatch transporters and monitor their productivity and efficiency.
• Perform timekeeping functions to ensure accurate employee clock-ins and outs.
