About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the fueling operations at Menzies Aviation in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities

• Review data on incoming flights to plan work activities.
• Direct and coordinate all operations functions for fueling and de-fueling services.
• Analyze reports and records of operations to determine effectiveness of methods and procedures.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Prepare and submit recommendations for improving efficiency of fueling services.
• Investigate causes of accidents and recommend safety measures.
• Manage employees in the Fueling Department, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of related experience in operations management or aviation.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations.
• Strong writing skills for reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts.
• Problem-solving skills to address practical issues in operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior aviation experience is desirable.
