About the position

The Operations Manager will oversee the operational activities in the Batavia area, focusing on managing a large team and ensuring efficient logistics and manufacturing processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, data analytics capabilities, and the ability to maintain a safe working environment while driving productivity and quality performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams of over 100 hourly employees and 4+ exempt managers.
• Create mechanisms to capture cost, quality, and productivity performance.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Utilize data analytics and metrics reporting to drive operational improvements.
• Develop and manage customer feedback mechanisms.
• Work on nights and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
• Eight years of business experience, preferably in a logistics or industrial environment.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing hourly employees.
• 3+ years of experience pulling data and refining it into actionable insights.
• Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in inbound and/or outbound logistics.
• Experience working in a sortation center or manufacturing environment.
• Well-versed in multi-shift planning.
• Trained in operational safety best practices.
