About the position

The Operations Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for overseeing client facilities and personnel to ensure the delivery of professional and quality service while adhering to safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role involves managing profitability for responsible accounts and maintaining effective communication with clients and employees in a 24/7 airport environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with employees and clients to ensure fulfillment of performance and quality requirements.
• Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
• Control costs to ensure profitability of the area of responsibility.
• Ensure clients receive accurate invoices in a timely manner and follow up on payment of all invoices.
• Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and training of all employees in the area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Ensure proper training for each employee commensurate with their job responsibilities and maintain documentation according to company standards.
• Monitor compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements in the area of responsibility.
• Ensure payroll is prepared and transmitted accurately and timely.
• Document, report, and process any injuries, incidents, or accidents appropriately.
• Monitor the safety program and communicate with Safety Quality Managers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, and management.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 or more years of management experience preferred.
• Previous aviation industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in budgeting, expense control, and scheduling.
