About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's organizational processes and operations to ensure productivity and quality across multiple properties. This full-time, on-site role requires a hands-on approach to manage maintenance teams, ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations, and drive property performance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop on-site management, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure peak performance and safety compliance.
  • Conduct remote and on-site inspections to identify maintenance and safety needs and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to oversee property repairs, renovations, and upgrades.
  • Assist the maintenance team in resolving issues in-house and ensuring all resources are utilized effectively.
  • Work closely with property managers and maintenance teams to complete required reporting and enhance key performance indicators.
  • Utilize property management software and Microsoft Office/365 tools for tracking reporting and facilitating communication.
  • Use data analytics to monitor metrics and make informed decisions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and managing budgets for maintenance and capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to property maintenance and safety.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, property management, facilities management, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance systems, safety codes, and general building repair processes.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team management and vendor negotiation.
  • Ability to travel to multiple property sites as needed.
  • Efficiently handle multiple projects and priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital reporting and data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental standards related to property management.
