The Operations Manager at Aveanna Healthcare plays a crucial role in overseeing office operations and coordinating staffing schedules while serving as a primary point of contact for patient families and caregivers. This position is designed for leaders who can multitask effectively and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, including patients, families, field staff, and referral sources. Responsibilities

  • Conducting all field employee payrolls via Aveanna policies and procedures.
  • Conducting all billing via Aveanna policies and procedures.
  • Conducting/managing monthly insurance verifications for all active clients receiving therapy or private duty nursing.
  • Requesting Private Insurance Authorizations when applicable.
  • Verifying payer information and benefit plans for new clients and communicating information to location management.
  • Managing Pending Report to keep total in line with Regional expectations.
  • Using Accounts Receivable report to identify patients with collections issues and developing a plan for correction.
  • Conducting/managing monthly authorization verifications for all active clients receiving therapy and private duty nursing.
  • Managing Operations Specialist, including maintaining updated and accurate therapist/nurse credentials according to Aveanna policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all new hires are working through Aveanna's standard hiring process.
  • Ensuring that all therapy/nursing documentation is verified accurately through Aveanna's billing and payroll process.
  • Setting expectations, providing feedback, and managing performance on a routine basis.
  • Maintaining/managing all client ‘plans' to ensure the most accurate information is reflected when the billing process is conducted.
  • Assisting in the investigation of client problems and promptly seeking solutions.
  • Performing all duties independently with little need for direct supervision.
  • Maintaining and respecting patient and employee confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Demonstrating positive interaction and a personable approach to instill confidence and loyalty.
  • Responding to management direction using appropriate methods and channels of communication.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of management experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; Bilingual is a plus.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Team player with organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to work after hours on-call schedule.
