About the position

Verasonics is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to oversee a small Operations Team responsible for the full product life cycle support, including NPI planning, production, end-of-life planning, and service support. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to prioritize customer shipments and improve production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on supervision of a small electro-mechanical team responsible for incoming receiving, inventory management, system assembly, configuration, test, boxing and shipping of products as well as service repairs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales/Marketing and other functions to prioritize customer shipments.
  • Plan, organize, lead, and review the activities of the Operations Team while establishing job priorities and work schedules.
  • Work closely with procurement to coordinate with contract manufacturers on orders, delivery, rework, and quality.
  • Maintain testing instructions and assembly documentation.
  • Create and archive system travelers, configuration records, and test records.
  • Manage and label incoming material and products as needed and update in software tools like Salesforce and Fishbowl.
  • Manage inventory through correct processes and ensure inventory records are accurate.
  • Oversee system and computer configuration, test and verification, and archive records.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving, boxing and packing, assembling products for shipment.
  • Oversee ESD monitoring and maintenance within the Operations area.
  • Facilitate internal training and instructions for Field Service.
  • Recommend purchases of new equipment and implement changes to ensure & improve production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot problems with production and suggest/implement corrective action.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of warehouse operations experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, with successfully demonstrated experience training and leading team members
  • Familiarity with GMP
  • Technical capacity and demonstrated initiative with asking questions and learning along the way; problem-solving/analysis skills
  • Experience with inventory and configuration management
  • High-level understanding of circuit board schematics, circuit board components, soldering, board manufacturing processes, and computer BIOS and OS installation
  • Ability to travel for work domestically and internationally, up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to lift and transport computers and systems up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 60 pounds with or without assistance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in ultrasound industry is beneficial
  • Experience with Salesforce, Fishbowl, Arena and Confluence
  • Experience in a low-volume, high-complexity, and high-cost environment strongly preferred.
