About the position

The Operations Manager at QVC is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound operations within the fulfillment center. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity while fostering continuous improvement throughout the supply chain. The Operations Manager will build and lead teams, develop operational procedures, and ensure effective inventory management, all while reporting to the Senior Manager of Fulfillment Center Operations.

Responsibilities

• Build initial teams and establish procedures, metrics, and processes.
• Lead a team of Area Managers and hourly associates.
• Develop and administer operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ensure high standards of inventory accuracy and product handling.
• Guide strategic planning and forecasting.
• Develop teammates for career progression and learning.
• Create a positive team dynamic that encourages collaboration.
• Improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery within the warehouse.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enhance order fulfillment and operational insights.

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations, preferably in retail/e-commerce.
• At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order Fulfillment.
• Experience managing and motivating teams of 50+ employees.
• Strong project management and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in apparel fulfillment operations.
• Familiarity with Kaizens and process improvement methodologies.
