About the position
The Operations Manager at CEVA Logistics is responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring high levels of service, profitability, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing inbound and outbound logistics, directing operations staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The Operations Manager plays a key role in maximizing profitability through superior customer service and effective communication, while also focusing on staff development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct and manage inbound and/or outbound site operations to ensure service agreements are met.
- Maximize profitability through superior customer service and effective communication.
- Manage revenue and expenses to adhere to budget constraints.
- Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Communicate directives, rules, and procedures to all operations staff.
- Implement and maintain safety methods, practices, and programs.
- Ensure timely movement of freight using appropriate equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment.
- Oversee administrative functions to ensure compliance and efficiency in paperwork processing.
- Coach, train, and mentor direct reports, providing career development opportunities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum five years of related experience required.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Valid state issued Driver's License required.
- Forklift Driver Certification required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in supply chain management is preferred.
- Other professional certifications may be beneficial.
